What is a Routine Inspection?
What happens when a tenant stops paying rent?
When a tenant falls more than 5 days into arrears we contact them to find out what is going on. Most of time it is rectified at this point and it doesn’t get further out of hand. If there is an unforeseen circumstance with the tenant, we can work with yourselves and the tenant to arrange a payment plan to get them back on track.
Once a tenant hits more than 14 days, a termination notice is issued. This means all arrears need to be paid up to date within 14 days from the date of termination otherwise they need to vacate the property.
